The Libraries’ Well-Being Committee recently accepted the Well Wolfpack Certification from Wolfpack Wellness—a campus-level certification for supporting and encouraging employee wellness. We were awarded their gold-level certification for infusing holistic well-being practices into our organization. The certification considers an organization’s commitment to wellness in four categories: Active, Emotional well-being, Nutrition and Culture of Wellness.

Laura Lloyd, Executive Assistant to Senior Vice Provost and Director of Libraries, and Troy Blue, Temporary Service/Maintenance, attended a Wellness Champion event to accept the certificate.

“The Well Wolfpack Certification is an acknowledgement of the Libraries' commitment to our staff's wellness,” Lloyd says. “This was the first year that we submitted for the certification, and we were hoping for the silver-level at least. So we were thrilled to get gold!”

“It was the work of many different Libraries departments and committees that helped us get gold. It is related to a positive workplace culture, including our meeting-free days and an understanding of the importance of work-life balance. We also support opportunities for stress relief and relaxation, such as our Staff Crafternoons and Pause for Paws.”
